Room 204 Newsletter
Dear Families,

It was so fun to see so many of you at the Sounders Game!  I thought it was an amazing event and reminded me again of how special our school community is – what a great day!

I hope you have been enjoying our “kid newsletters”.   I decided it was time that I bring you some news from the classroom.   So here goes –

Field Trip –

On Thursday, May 17th both first grade classes will be going to Museum of History and Industry for a Storybook Theater performance. We are hoping to do this trip by car so I need at least 5 or 6 adults to chaperone and help get us there.  Please let me know if you can drive and how many kids you would be able to fit in your car.  The Field Trip Forms are attached.  (There is a charge for this trip but we will be using the money that was refunded from our Childrens Theatre trip that was cancelled due to snow.)

Science –

We are a week into our new science unit.  This time we are studying organisms.   Already we have planted seeds, have compared and contrasted plants that are found growing in local ponds and forests.  We have mini terrariums and aquariums growing  in our classroom.   It’s a fun unit and I am hoping that our class can visit Discovery park on Thursday, June 7th to add to this learning.  This trip will cost at least 6 dollars per student and more if we need to take a bus.    If you think you could drive for this field trip – please let me know as well.

That’s it from me – please look for a “Kid Report” later in the week.
